What is the Capacity?
Up to 250 guests cocktail style
Up to 150 guests sit down event
There is also an outdoor carpark (approx 750sqm in size) that can potentially be utilised for your event (weekends only).
What are the catering options available?
We have preferred catering options, you can however bring in your own preferred caterer as long as they have a catering license and you pay a small surcharge of $500.00 on top of the venue hire fees.
Will I be sharing the venue with another event?
You have exclusive use of the venue for the time you have booked & paid for in your venue hire fees.
Is Smoked Garage BYO & what are the corkage fees?
Yes we are – you need to speak to your chosen catering company about corkage prices & liquor license if required (NOTE: liquor license is required if there is cash bar at your event or it is a ticketed style event)
Is there parking available?
Ample street parking & Valley secure parking close by. We do have parking for VIP guests & suppliers on request prior to your event.
Is there AV equipment available to use?
Limited AV on site so we recommend Pete from Select AV for any extra AV requirements – Ph: 0419 796 747
Am I responsible for cleaning the space after my event?
Your catering company is responsible for ALL rubbish removal. The venue covers the normal cleaning costs in your venue hire fee. (NOTE: if any extensive mess is left after an event you may incur a cleaning surcharge cost)
What event duration is included in the venue hire fee?
From the time you book the venue with your venue hire fees – will be confirmed in your deposit contract. If you require extra time for bump ins & bump outs with will be negotiated on a case to case basis.
Is there a venue manager on site during my event?
Yes we have a venue manager on site to oversee the venue on the night & assist your catering company with any questions or concerns during the event.
How much does it cost to hire Smoked Garage?
Depending on the date of your event, times required and number of guests the venue hire fee will vary – below are some general venue hire fees but we are always open to negotiations so please feel free to contact us to discuss your requirements in more detail.
Monday – Thursday & Sunday
From 4pm – 10pm (bump out till 11pm) – up to 150 guests – $1,500.00 plus GST
From 4pm – 10pm (bump out till 11pm) – over 150 guests – $1,800.00 plus GST
Friday & Saturday
From 4pm – 11pm (bump out till 12am) – up to 150 guests – $2,700.00 plus GST
From 4pm – 11pm (bump out till 12am) – over 150 guests – $3,500.00 plus GST
NOTE: Day rates by negotiation due to normal Smoked Garage trade hours
(15% surcharge on venue hire fee from mid November – late December)
(Extra time for bump in & bump outs to be negotiated if required)
What are your payment policies, how do I secure my event at Smoked Garage?
Full venue hire required to secure your event 100%. Please note times venue is booked on your invoice – we require credit card details prior to your event to charge $200.00 plus GST for each hour you stay pass your booked finish time.
Is there a cancellation fee or change of date fee?
Yes your deposit is non-refundable so please keep this in mind when confirming your event date.
Who sets up and packs down the event?
Yourself and your catering company are responsible for the set up & pack down of your event. Smoked Garage arrange for the movement of the motorbikes required prior to your event. Details on this varies depending on your event so please feel free to contact us at anytime to discuss in more detail.
Who organises furniture & styling for my event?
You are welcome to use any furniture in our venue for your event at no extra charge. We do have extra furniture available on request but this does incur extra hire fees, which can be negotiated depending on your requirements. You are also welcome to use outside supplier to assist with furniture & styling for your event but they must be mindful of your bump in & bump out timings/requirements.
What are the measurements of the venue & floorplan set up?
Carpark: approx 750sqm
Can we play music?
Yes DJ, band or iPod music are all options when selecting your entertainment for your event.
Do I need security for the event?
Security is your responsibility if required for your event – we strongly recommend security for any events over 200 guests, if you would like assistance in organising security please let us know.
